Well, here it is. The embellished fabric was cut to wrap over the edges of the canvas which I painted first with acrylic paints. The cut edges of the fabric were bound with a fabric tape, zig-zagged on. Then hand stitched across the panel. I've not finished it yet, but you get the gist.
I can't believe it, it's snowing again and I'm soooooo cold. Can't wait for the heating to come on!

Fabric tape is not it's official name I'm sure. I'ts something I bought from Arterial (now closed down). It's around 7mm wide, soft cottonish and slightly stretchy. There's what looks like rows of close stitching running down the whole length with raw edges either side. The whole lot's been space dyed in plum/ochre colours. I'll try and remember to bring some with me on Thursday.
